The outdoors is calling! And they’ve got a lot in store. No matter if you play in a yard or park, we’re here to help keep your kiddos engaged while outside.
Backyard Scavenger Hunt
Let Mother Nature set the stage for a fun scavenger hunt in your backyard! Let your little one explore while they look to find everything on this list (print it here!). Added activity? Have them draw their favorite item when they’re back inside.
No need for a fancy camera—use your phone! Let your little one take pictures of their favorite scenes from the outdoors. Not only will this be fun for them, but it will also create captured memories for you.
Partly cloudy outside? Perfect. Set down a picnic blanket and let the clouds roll by. For each cloud, ask your kiddo what it looks like to them. This is a great activity to explore their vast imaginations.
Clear nights were made for star gazing. This is a great opportunity to teach your little ones about constellations like the Big Dipper and moon phases! You can even make a DIY “telescope” with a toilet paper roll.
I Spy Outdoors
The classic game of I Spy but outside. From learning colors to exploring shapes, this is a fun, interactive way to keep your little ones engaged outside.
